Auburn school district residents will vote in May on a $7.2 million emergency project to replace failing ventilation systems in four elementary schools, according to The Citizen.
The project targets about 100 unit ventilators that currently lack temperature control, affecting classrooms at Casey Park, Genesee, Herman Avenue, and Owasco schools. It also includes updates to heat exchangers, air handling units, and exhaust fans to meet code standards.
Half the cost will come from a capital reserve fund, with the rest covered by district funds. The vote is scheduled for May 20 alongside the annual school budget election.
