The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 46-year-old Daniel J. Meyer, who is currently wanted on a charge of reckless endangerment in the second degree.

Authorities released a wanted poster this week featuring Meyer’s photo and physical description. He is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 230 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Meyer is considered wanted and should not be approached by the public. Officials urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 315-946-9711. Law enforcement emphasized that citizens should not attempt to take any action on their own.

The Sheriff’s Office has posted Meyer’s information on its social media channels and encourages residents to share the alert to help spread the word.

The charge of reckless endangerment in the second degree is a class A misdemeanor under New York State law and involves conduct that creates a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person.

Residents can also search for additional wanted individuals by visiting the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office page on Facebook or using the Wayne County Sheriff app available for download on mobile devices.
