A Canandaigua man was arrested Thursday in connection with multiple incidents of rape earlier this year, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Daniel L. Sevigny, 43, was taken into custody on April 10 at 3045 County Complex Drive. He has been charged with rape in the first degree.

The arrest follows an investigation into allegations that Sevigny engaged in non-consensual and forcible sexual intercourse with a female victim on several occasions between January and February.

Authorities said Sevigny was arraigned at the Ontario County Centralized Arraignment following his arrest. No additional details about the case or the victim were released.
