Doubledays take sole possession of 1st place after 6-1 win

It was hard enough for the Doubledays to finally be able to catch up with the Scrappers atop the division after playing two months of catch up in the standings. So it was only fitting that Auburn had to work a little more effort to take sole possession of first place on Thursday in a win over Mahoning Valley. The... more

Doubledays drop Sunday matinee to Spikes

It was an all around rough day for the Doubledays on Bark at the Park at Leo Pinckney Field. With shaky starting pitching and slow bats, the Doubledays will go into the All-Star game with a... more

Doubledays get burned by Casadilla

The Doubledays got a taste of their own medicine on Saturday night after sweeping the Spikes on August 2-4. Auburn’s offense was completely shut down by the Spikes, recording only three hits in a 2-0 home loss to State College. It was an uncharacteristically rough outing for Doubledays starter Tim Cate. With Cate never walking more than one batter in... more

Doubledays hold off Muckdogs to secure 4-3 win

Doubledays all-star closer David Smith is no stranger to high-leverage situations. Smith’s five saves entering Thursday night’s contest against the Muckdogs led the team, and his sixth was just two outs away with runners at first and third. With ice in his veins and Auburn’s 29th win just two outs away, Smith slammed the door on Batavia’s comeback attempt by... more
