Suspect sought after hit-and-run boating accident on Cayuga Lake

The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a person involved in a boating crash that happened over the weekend on Cayuga Lake. Work begins on Trumansburg walkway

Work crews began initial roadway grading along state Route 96 last week to install a new, much-needed and long-awaited walkway in Ulysses. A Ulysses man was indicted in Tompkins County Court on Thursday after police found multiple forms of child pornography in his possession. Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Chadd M. Body found in Taughannock Falls State Park gorge

The body of an unidentified male was found in the Taughannock Falls State Park gorge around 11 a.m. Friday. The body was located about a half-mile west from the gorge parking lot at Route 89, said Dan Keefe, spokesman for the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
