First responders were called to 3354 James Road in Keuka Park for the report of a working structure fire during the early-afternoon hours on Thanksgiving. Horse killed in Benton crash involving vehicle, buggy

A horse was killed after an accident on Pre-Emption Rd. in Benton, according to officials. The Yates County Sheriff’s Office reports that Bridgette Spicer, 20, of Lafayette was traveling south around 8:30 am when she approached a horse-and-buggy. Casella will be the new Yates DA

While absentee ballots could change the results from election night, it appears Todd Casella has unseated incumbent Valerie Gardner in the race for Yates County district attorney. Penn Yan bicyclist struck by car; driver had suspended registration

A 23-year-old Penn Yan woman was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital after authorities say she was struck by a vehicle on Rt. 14A late-Saturday. Dan Murn wins Paddle Keuka 5K for second straight year

Despite a stiff wind and choppy waters, paddlers took part in the Finger Lakes Museum & Aquarium’s second annual Paddle Keuka 5K canoe and kayak race on Saturday, August 5th.
