There will be something for everyone at the Montezuma Audubon Center’s 13th Annual Wildlife Festival in Savannah, NY on Saturday, May 4th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. KrittrKris and Feathered Friends, Kindred Kingdoms Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and Wildlife Defenders will deliver animal programs throughout the day featuring owls, hawks, falcons and mammals. Another highlight of the festival will be the Family Theater Tent featuring the professional magician and good-natured dean of green, Professor GreenPockets, who will perform fun, family-oriented shows that promote ecology, habitat conservation and the protection of endangered species. Also, Topher Holt is a professionally trained comedian, dancer, mime, and singer/songwriter and will perform stories, songs and drum-a-longs
that are bound to have you moving, singing, shaking a maraca, or beating a drum. The Wildlife Festival will feature a 24-foot high rock wall to give you a birds eye view of Montezuma! Children will enjoy the huge bounce house, making nature crafts and stained glass art, building a bluebird box, playing nature games and winning prizes! Wildlife enthusiasts can fish their way to the backyard bass game and then fly over to see the dragons in the pond!
The festival schedule also includes guided canoeing trips and bird watching walks, a native plant sale, country music from 103.5 FM Big Dog Country, Tom Barnes Acoustic Music, food trucks featuring Lady Bug Lunch Box, and Martin’s Smokehouse BBQ, Sugary Delights, ice cream floats and delicious baked goods, balloon animals with Miss Twist, face painting, dozens of local vendors and exhibitors and much more!
