Birding Without Borders: An Epic World Big Year

Monday, October 2, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

In 2015, Noah Strycker of Oregon became the first person to see more than half of the planet’s bird species (6,000+) in a year-long birding trek to seven continents with only the pack on his back. Hear about this amazing adventure which included sightings of Adelie Penguins in Antarctica, a Harpy Eagle in Brazil, a Spoon-billed Sandpiper in Thailand, and a Green-breasted Pitta in Uganda. And let’s not forget the blood-sucking leeches, floods, mudslides, and other “special” moments! His book about the adventure is due out on October 10.
