MONTEZUMA AUDUBON CENTER BIRDING AND BOATING FUNDRAISER
Sunday, October 14 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm$50 – $90
Join us for a relaxing afternoon boat cruise through the Montezuma Wetlands Complex to explore the autumn bird migration, Montezuma’s unique habitats and fall foliage, and the Cayuga-Seneca Canal’s cultural history. The Montezuma Wetlands Complex is Audubon’s first globally significant Important Bird Area and millions of migratory waterfowl, shorebirds, songbirds and raptors stop here during their impressive journey. Learn from Center Director Chris Lajewski how to identify these birds, what Audubon and our conservation partners are doing to protect these birds, and how we all play a role in conserving birds and the places they need, today and tomorrow.
Light refreshments, binoculars, spotting scopes, field guides and a silent auction are included.
The Montezuma Audubon Center connects visitors of all ages to the millions of migratory birds that use the Montezuma Wetlands Complex and gives people an appreciation for maintaining and enhancing these unique and critically important habitats. Our wide range of conservation and education programs encourage children and adults to explore, understand and care for their natural world. Your support of the Montezuma Audubon Center will help us do all of this and so much more!
Fee: $50/person; $90/couple
